Ben is Founding Partner at Maddix Wealth, and a Certified Financial Planner ™. Before Maddix, he was a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. Prior to his career in the financial services industry, Ben served in the Marines and held consultancy roles in both the public and private sector.
Ben studied international relations, economics and finance at the University of Utah, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in International & Area studies and his Master of Science in Finance. Ben also did executive education at the French business school, HEC Paris.
Outside of work, Ben is passionate about giving back and does so by partnering with non-profits in support of civic development. He is on the Board of Trustees for the Cancer Wellness House and Board of Directors for Playworks Utah and the Cancierge Foundation.

Tom is a Founding Partner at Maddix Wealth, and a Certified Exit Planning Adivsor™. Tom began his career in the financial services industry in 1982 and joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1989, where he worked for 33 years. As a senior financial advisor and founding partner at Maddix Wealth, he works with successful individuals and families who are concerned with preserving, growing and transferring their wealth for future generations.
Tom studied finance and marketing at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He and his wife, Cynthia, live in Holladay, Utah with their six children. His hobbies include playing golf and tennis, skiing, traveling and reading.
Outside of work, Tom volunteers his time with a number of organizations. For several years, he sat on the fundraising board and the parish council for his church. He is a past board member of the University of Utah Alumni Association, where he served as the fundraising and golf tournament chairman. He is also a past board member of the University of Utah Crimson Club and a past board member and former president of the Cottonwood Country Club. Additionally, he is a past board member of the Willow Creek Country Club and served on its house and long-range planning committees. Tom currently serves as founder, chairman and board member of the Cancierge Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing resources and services for cancer patients so they can focus on their treatments.

Susan is the head of Maddix Wealth’s client services division (aka she is the “OLIC” aka “Old Lady In Charge). She has over four decades of experience in the financial services industry. Virtually everyone who calls our office is familiar with Susan; she is as pleasant as she is competent, and our clients affectionately refer to her as their financial “momma bear.” Susan works directly with clients and our firm’s client associate team on a wide range of administrative requests, offering considerable knowledge and support to everyone she engages with.
Outside of work, Susan is a passionate grandmother and dedicated to both her family and church. She lived in West Jordan with her husband (who is an amazing guitar player).

Kade is the newest addition to Maddix Wealth, joining the team at the beginning of 2024. Kade began his career in private equity, gaining valuable experience as an intern with Mercato Partners’ “Traverse Fund” and as a junior analyst with Maddix Capital.
Kade is proud to be a Trailblazer, graduating summa cum laude from Utah Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Kade also has passion for research, and is collaborating with his former professors in the publication of an academic paper on high-cost alternative lending.
Outside of work, Kade enjoys delving into history and philosophy, and is always looking for a friendly game of chess.
